General Khin Ye, Chief police commissioner gave a press conference on May 6, 2010 in Napyidaw, regarding the bomb blast in front of X2O water pandal near Kandawgyi Lake during the water festival in Rangoon on April 15, 2010.
We were all waiting for the conference in one of our comrade’s apartment.  Moe Thee Zun was with me as well as two other comrades; one was from Canada and the other from Washington DC- both former ABSDF members.  Bo Kyauk and two ABSDF members also came by the place for the press conference.  We turned the TV channel to MRTV (Myanmar TV) at 8:30 pm and saw the conference held in “Arain Dama” hall.
The generals used the word “Arain Dama” because they wanted to show that they were like the Burmese King “Kyansit Tha” who reunited the nation by killing his enemies with his favorite spear called “Arain Dama”.  Strangely, the Rangoon police chief General Khin Yi sported the green army uniform while the rest of the officers wore police uniforms.  Even though Khin Yi is the Chief police commissioner, he still did not change into a police uniform as a statement that the police force is not controlled by the civilian police officers.  It is controlled by the Burmese army officers.
In the press conference Khin Yi mentioned all the resistance groups operating in the Thai-Burma border including NLD LA (Liberated Area) and my fellow comrade Moe Thee Zun being involved in the bombing.  We all laughed.  Khin Yi said Moe Thee Zun and Aung Moe Zaw from DPNS held a meeting with 23 followers and that Moe Thee said bombing is the only way to distract the regime.  The truth is Moe Thee formed the committee with 21 comrades without Aung Moe Zaw to reject the 2010 election but not to attack the public.  His plan is to make an uprising, we all believe that the people’s power is the only way to topple the regime.  While we were watching, Moe Thee fell asleep on the mat.  He was sleeping peacefully without a guilty conscience.  We all laughed when he snored.
Khin Yi mentioned that all the resistance groups were responsible for the bombing.  It is quite clear he has no clue who is behind what, so he has to put all the anti regime groups into the responsible category.  He said Vigorous Burmese Students’ Warriors (VBSW) were responsible and was under ABSDF control and that ABSDF was a member of DAB and DAB chairman was Tamalabaw from KNU.  It is quite funny to see how desperate the regime is and has no clue on who is behind anything.
Khin Yi said they arrested one guy who was responsible for the bombing and three other collaborators.  He explained how those guys operated to plot the bomb in the water festival in detail as he was watching it with his own eyes.  The press started to question if the police force knew about it in advance.  He said he was aware of the anti government elements planning to disturb the 2010 election and a bomb plot was included in the tactics but he did not know who would do what in advance.  One reporter asked him that Linyone Mg Mg’s (famous author) son and his friend were captured after the bomb blast and the regime announced that they have reason to capture those two, but now it is clear that the regime has found the four men guilty for the crime so why are those two innocent men still in custody.  He said those two are still in custody for precaution but if they are innocent they will release them.  Khin Yi did not say when he will release them.
There is definite possibility those two unlucky men were tortured during the custody and are still recovering in the hospital or cell.  To cover the unjust treatment, the regime will make another plot to detain them for a few years because people who are captured get tied under so many laws without lawyers that they receive long prison terms even though they are innocent.  The regime motto is those who get captured are guilty, so they have to put them in prison one way or another.  Lin Yone Mg Mg’s son’s case is the same, Khin Yi mentioned the four people responsible and even with no connection to Lin Yone Mg Mg’s son, him and his friend are still in prison at the time of the press conference.
Khin Yi said he will try his best to capture those murderers who killed innocent civilians by requesting Interpol and neighboring countries.  As for me I would like to request the Interpol and world leaders to put the generals in front of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for their crimes against humanity.  The killings in 1988 uprising, the massacre in Depeyin, the killings in Saffron revolution where many innocent peaceful marches of the Buddhist monks and people were brutally shot down.  It is ironic those murderers are talking about law and justice while their hands are soaked with blood.
