A speech by U Pho Hla, Chairman of Arakan Labour Association in Exile – ALAE on the occasion of 64th Anniversary of Daw Aung San Sukyi’s Birth Day at Motal Uni Resort Ltd, near Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh.  Good morning! Ladies and Gentle man, first of all let me thanks to give me a chance and opportunity to talk on the occasion of this 64th birth day anniversary of noble laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.

Herewith, I would like to submit and deliver some mean concerned history back ground of Burma as an “ In Power Struggle”. to realized why/ what happening in Burma.

“In Power struggle”

In this my article, following parts will be contain;

• Who are power struggling?
• Who are historical criminal?
• Who are really victims?
• Who will be winners?
• Who will be losers?

*Who are power struggling?
As you know well, Burma was gain freedom 4 Jan 1947 from British colonial according with history back ground of Panlong agreement ( which was made 12 February 1947 in Pinlong, Shan Hill).
So, so-called Burma country is own by the ethnicities of the Mon, The Karani, the Karan, the Shan, the Kashin, the Shin and the Arakan.

In that historical Pinlong treaty, Burmese leader Gen. Aung San had given promised to hill peoples, the Shin, Kashin and Shan people that secession rights if necessary, after 10 years of freedom of Burma.
But if have to mention short to the point, in 1962, Gen Ne Win led Burmese chauvinists group have seized the state power in so-called Burma. Since then state power struggle are running in among the Burmese ethnic on the condition struggling of people democracy stage. Now, till 47 years, Burmese people are suffering under the oppressive of Burman chauvinists group like nearly half century.

During the this 47 years of under the chauvinists group, they have handed over the state power one after another from Gen. Ne Win (late) to Sann Yu, Sein Lwin, Maung Maung, Saw Maung and then till Gen. Than Shwe through BSPP, SLORC and SPDC, etc.

Since 1962 to 2009 till now, Pinlong treaty was used by Burman chauvinists group as an only show case.
In this way, in the result of losing their nationals rights, Mon, Karen, Karani, Shan, Shin and the Arakanese have been holding arms and struggles to restore their losing nationals rights against Baman chauvinists group. And for losing of classification rights, CPB has also fought the same way. Thus, civil war has been broke out till now in so-called Burma. And it citizens lives are suffering on the condition of most undeveloped and gone down to poorest country level in the world, very sadly even though Burma has rich resources country in the world.

In the result of so hardship in vain, like people up-risings were broke out in Burma like world wide known 88 up- rising and saffron revolution in 2007.

Nowadays, each other of updated Burma’s federalism, led by Daw Aung Sann Suu Kyi’s group and Barman chauvinist groups are struggling for state power.

In above mentioned struggle, Burman chauvinists group has proven that they will not consider even to kill Buddhist monks if they have to lose state power. Even though so-called Burma country is thayravada Buddhistsim.

• Who are historical criminal?
Herewith, very clear that according to Pinlong treaty, Burman ethnic are most responsibility for equal rights, fundamantal human rights and including nationals rights in Burma.
So, Baman chauvinist groups are historical criminal in Burma, from 1962 to today 2009, so long period.

• Who are victims?
Most victims are the Chin, The Kachin, the Mon, Karen, Karani,Shan and the Arakanese ethnicities more then Burmese ethnic. Because they have lost their national rights including fundamental human rights accordance to historical Pinlong treaty, which was signed in Pinlone town, Shan hill, Burma in 12 February 1947.

As you might know , at the present day around the boarder areas of so-called Burma, mostly in operation areas of SPDC, others ethnicities’ women are being raped, their land are being confiscated and peoples are killed by the Burman chauvinist group in Burma like already having murder license.

As you know very well that at the present day Karen people are being attacked by Burman chauvinist group SPDC under the aim of annihilate upon the Karen arms struggle forces.

Thus, for justice, like this day, we must also rise our voice globally against SPDC to stop immediately for their attack upon the our brotherhood Karen ethnic.

• Who will be winners?
Thus, enough darkness so long have been upon us like nearly half century. And we, in and out of citizens of Burma are also struggling to have peace and true democracy for Burma. And our struggle are being supported by world civilized peoples firmly, also.
So, here with also we need your support for success in our quest. And you are earnestly requested by us to support our struggle as a good friends of neighbor country.

In this way, we firmly believe that long darkness will end soon and we must winners as a result of our hard struggle, naturally.

• Who will be losers?

Chauvinist group (SPDC) must loser, their falling day is coming soon., but we must rise our struggle more and more under the firm finger cross with supporting of world civilized people.
And our another wave of up-rising is coming soon as a big bomb. Therefore, we must winners sooner or later accordance with the natural of justice.
