Dear Friends,

The continued harassment and detention of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi demonstrates the SPDC’s ambitions to silence Burma’s greatest hope for peace and national reconciliation. The recent trumped-up charges and show trial of Daw Aung Suu Kyi is further proof that the SPDC is not serious in undertaking democratic reforms and engaging in genuine dialogue with pro-democracy forces.
