Leaders of Rakhine ethnic Diaspora from Myanmar, now in exile in Bangladesh, paid a visit to Ms Hasina, the leader of Awami League which won lanslide in this week’s elections in Bangladesh. They asked Ms Hasina to help pro-democracy movements in Burma.

Education & Culture: Mon National School in Mae Sot

The school was founded in Mae Sot, Thailand, in 2006, by Mon ethnic Diaspora from Burma. The aim was to help Mon Diaspora children get a good future, and to create good Mon generation waves.
The school teaches children Mon language and culture, in addition to the usual academic subjects.
