Obama Tells Us To Challenge Our World
Jan 31st, 2009

The inauguration of Barrack Hussein Obama as President of United States of America on January 20, 2009 was visibly the birth of political liberalism and the unstoppable striking force of democracy of the people, democracy by the people and of course democracy for the people. This new era not only prompts the future challenge in global political spectrum but will remain the true invigoration for the weaker side among political powers especially minority or bottom line people stranded in a far more diverse background in every country.
For me, I don’t only see Obama as a true people leader but I appreciate the brave Americans who voted for Obama as their leader. This is inarguably what we had called, what we are calling now and what we should be calling Democracy on Earth! Whether Barrack Obama will lead Americans and the world to our expectation is a separate issue from the center point of people democracy demonstrated by the world most powerful nation on January 20, 2009. This symbolizes the ruination of controversial democracy surrounding Athenian Democracy and visibly amalgamated Lincoln and King’ vision into dream comes true.
50 strong states united to build a nation under the banner of United States of America (USA) with democracy as it driving force to lead the country with bipartisan competition and collaboration for the people. Even Myanmar dictator Than Shwe and North Korean ultimate despot Kim Jong ll might probably thumb up indigestibly to the cheers of people on Obama inauguration day. However the pigheaded dumb military general of Myanmar have no education up to the people power except from military barrack to military Burma.
Obama and Burma
Than Shwe might not like to know the name Obama because hearing the name Obama will rebound to his itching ear as if he hear again the old Burma which he changed into Myanmar in 1993 but he will be bemused himself to hear Barrack because barracks is his military hole from where he seized power in 1988 through the expenses of people revolution. He will probably be shuttled himself between Barrack and Obama and his middle name Hussein will haunt him to the gallows of Saddam.
Myanmar military regime is now heading into their illegally sponsored 2010 general election to garner 90% and above favor-votes which they will fabricate from the people. The challenge of democracy for the people of Burma is still highly unlikely to bear fruit before 2010 except from the extensive and full force cooperation from Beijing.
Solely depending upon US and European Union for change in Myanmar military rule did not worked out for twenty years. We the people of Burma are still holding a winning card to topple military regime but we just don’t know or ignore to wield in the right direction. Obama new government will not change Myanmar military rule except to wrestle themselves with the mammoth economic downturn which is not only pounding US national economy but shaking the entire globe.
It is highly unlikely that US can jump over the Great Wall to pressure Beijing for change in Burma with maximum force leaving all other important issues between the two giant nations. The key for change in Burma is still with the people of Burma not in the hands of US or China. Black people in US only make up to 13.5% of the whole populations in United States but the unstoppable will of act from the entire US national for change hoisted the black man on their head. This is the best political practical lesson for all democratic movements around the world.
The military supremacy in Burmese politics will gradually wither away only after we the people of Burma adopt equal status with all ethnic minorities. Burma is beautifully and naturally endowed with multicultural politics to which the leaders of the past just failed to fix within the right establishment. The constitutional imbalance divisions among the multicultural people which dislocated all ethnic nationalities from their right establishments had created the huge havoc in Burmese politics which entangled us down to this generation.
Not just because Burma is sandwiched between India and China which combining populations will make half of the entire world that the two giant nations will compete to get first hand on it for whatever strategic reason but as long as the political ignorance of Burmese leaders benefit both India and China, the US and European union could not crack open into Burma and sweep all military regime out. Unfortunately military regime ignorance of politics even hang them longer in power while all the people of Burma are suffering at the bottom of their boots.
Let us now agree to all our disagreements that it is now the right time to mend our different views for change in our country. Bear in mind that Than Shwe alone is not ruling Burma (Myanmar) but be in the knowledge that he is propped up by certain greedy non-state actors for their own business.
Instead of waging war on military regime, let challenge ourselves whether we can be the reliable alternative to Union of Burma. Our world is struck off with new challenge ahead with the rising star of democracy Mr. Barrack Obama which tells the world to challenge all injustices, color discrimination and supremacy- conservatism on earth.
