A Politician of Myanmar origin becomes a Minister in Bangladesh

Some Rakhine ethnic people, originally from Myanmar(Burma), are now living on Bangladesg side of Burma-Nangladesh border, as Bangladesh citizens; and the newly appointed Industrial Minister in Ms. Hasina’s Awarmi League government, Mr. Dhilli, is one of them.

Mr. Dhilli is a graduate of Law from Dakkha University in Bangladesh. He has been involved in Bangladeshi politics since University days. He has been a secular left wing politician. When Ms. Hasina’s Awarmi League won landslide victory in last month’s elections in Bangladesh, he becomes a Minister for Industries in Awarmi Leaguegovernment.
