It's seems like you are diverting the attentions of becoming one voice for rejecting 2010 elections. You miss the point on how to prevent rather than you point on the downfall of all the opposition groups. It is misleading article. To be an so called Burmese expert doesn't mean to stir the situations among opposition groups. How can we forget about the people sacrifies and 1990 elections. We need to focus on current situations and prevent as much as we can rather than moaning.

You need to distinguish Ne Win's one-party state and the coming transition in 2010. Ne Win's one-party state was institutionally capable of maintaining his personal control. The current constitution, even if that has been manipulated by the military, will result in multi-party elections and the government. The coming transition in Myanmar is very similar to the one in Chile in 1988 where the military-controlled constitution allowed a multi-party election and the formation of civil-military government. Chile is one of the few countries now able to consolidate democracy. To be a good analyst is to be open minded by expanding one's own knowledge without prejudice.
