BURMESE IN INDIA PROTEST JUNTA’S PROME MINISTER THEIN SEIN’S VISIT

New Delhi, 13th Nov 08: Burmese Pro Democracy activists in India welcome the Military Junta’s Prime Minister Gen. Thein Sein of Burma by protesting, shouting anti-military slogans and burning effigy. The protesters march through the streets of Janta Mantar shouting slogans- “Go back butcher Thein Sein”, “Down with mlitary rule”, “Long Live 8888 Student leaders”, “Long Live Aung San Suu Kyi”, “We shall fight- we shall win”, etc. and blocking traffic for some minutes.

Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein Sein is attending the 2nd Summit on the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) today in New Delhi.
