Like any other University of International Standard, Professors are expected to have their Doctorial Degree and lecturers must have a Master’s Degree. Graduate and Diploma holders can be for the IT and Pedagogy subjects. For the Faculty of Medicine must be MBBS or MD plus experience and skilful teachers who are already involved in humanitarian works and who has a proven “Cetena” (love and good will) with the right and sound mentality will be given preference. One must be efficient in particular chosen discipline and understand the need of the student and their behaviour. The candidate must have sound physical and mental health and be willing to experience living in Southeast Asia. Must teach at a stretch for two credit hours (one credit hour is 15 teaching hours) and no leave (except for emergency cases) will be allowed as AEIOU will provide a modest living quarters for all lectures and professors. Will have to draw up its own teaching modules with the given guidelines and justify the curriculum to fit in with the Burmese situation and background. CV/Resume with the works of books and research papers will have to be presented before 1st December 2008.
All subjects, except some of the humanities disciplines have to be taught in English. Retired professors are encouraged to apply to come over for a few weeks in Chiang Mai, northern capital of the Thailand. Come and experience the holistic life and real joy of how you can put life and share your wisdom knowledge to the marginalized youths of Burma, who are all eager to learn.
