Knowledge is power and can be used to achieve good deeds. Saving all of Burma would rid the world of a terrible problem and here is a piece of knowledge that can be useful for that. The following is a translation of a recent letter written by a Major Aung Lin Htut who defected from his position as a Consul at Burmese Embassy in Washington, DC, a year ago.

  

It is obviously a draft and appears to be not only addressed to Than Shwe but to the public in general. The followinmg is the English translation.

All words in square parentheses, [ ], are extra words inserted by this translator to facilitate understanding. All words in curved parentheses, ( ), are the original writer’s. A footnote discussion follows after the translation.

“To Sr. Gen. Than Shwe”, 9 May 2008 ,

It is Time to Abandon Superstitions.

Today, Burma will soon be completely destroyed and [our] religion and [our] clergymen will cease to exist under the hands of Sr. Gen. Than Shwe who is very superstitious. The first thing I would like to say is that “Sr. Gen. TS, you and your family should understand this.”

If I must report all [your] superstitions -

1. If UN forces or foreign armies arrive in Burma, SPDC will fall. [*footnote A]
2. There is an ominous sign of destruction that the Rangoon City founded by U Aung Zeya will be ruined after 200 years. [*footnote A1]
3. Tuesday-born sons and daughters will govern the nation. [*footnote B]
4. There is an ominous sign that Sr. Gen. Than Shwe will be in some kind, some kind of trouble prior to August 2008. [*footnote C]

These above superstitions were predicted by a great Pa-O woman who is worshipped by Sr. Gen. Than Shwe’s wife, Daw Kyaing Kyaing. [*footnote D]

During the time when DKK was [just] the wife of the Division Commander of Pathein [*footnote E] she consulted this great Pa-O woman who predicted that she will become “Queen” Consort of the King. I think this was around 1983/1984.

The predictions became true in April 1992 and DKK became an absolute [ or ardent] believer. [*footnote F]

Afterwards it was observed that DKK would do everything that this great Pa-O woman ordered her to do. Whether these things are true or not can be found out from those who stayed close [ to DKK; namely: ] the ex-Minister of Education U Than Aung, Gen. Kyaw Win, Gen. Ne Win (bodyguard), Colonel Soe Shin (security), Lt.Col. Myint Kyi (DKK’s bodyguard).
 
If I must present all that I know:

1. [DKK] believes that [she] is the reincarnation of the Great King Tha Loon and [she] has performed yaddya rituals. [She] has gone to ride the white elephant on Min Damma Hill.

2. [She] has commanded that [she & her daughter] must be addressed as Mair Daw Gyi (lit. Great Mother or Queen Mother) and Thameedaw (Royal Daughter). [*footnote H]
3. During yaddya rituals she ordered Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to leave, to remove herself.

4. As a yaddya ritual, [she] promoted the contemporary Prime Minister Soe Win as the leader of the government. [*footnote J]
5. The move to Naypyidaw was made without any preparation [or planning or programming]
   My opinion is that Sr.Gen.TS can never do anything without Baydin [fortune telling, astrology, palmistry, etc]

Therefore the superstitious Sr. Gen. TS and his family should not do any yaddya ritual [any more] to get out of these present dangers.

He should remove his self-centeredness [or selfishness] and bear hardships for the sake of the nation and the race [or people]; abandon his superstitions, and follow the requests of the international community [or all the nations]. [*footnote K]

By historical comparison, when the Spanish Conquistadors led by Cortez in the 1500’s landed in Mexico, the Aztec Emperor and his Courtiers, according to their superstitions, believed that Cortez and his men were Gods and welcomed them. That gave them a tremendous advantage later on when they started to fight, and with just his few hundred men, aided by perhaps a few hundred or thousand more warriors from neighboring tribes which hated the oppression of the Aztec overlords, they were able to defeat the mighty forces of the Aztec Empire, warriors numbered in the tens of thousands, or perhaps over a hundred thousand, and capture all of Mexico.

Since Than Shwe and his family believe so ardently that any arrival of the UN or any foreign forces will cause the SPDC to collapse, why not use this superstition to save all of Burma?
Any kind of arrival means it does not have to be a massive invasion as in World War II 6-6-44, the Normandy Landings, but just a military operational landing like in Somalia, Sierra Leone, Lebanon and other troubled spots.

A show of force, demonstrations of live fire such as barrages of naval cannons, in other words, covering fire, and a landing on the beaches of the Irrawaddy Delta, while naval aircraft give aerial protection from above. All they have to do is secure the beachhead and then sail up the Rangoon River to capture Rangoon, protect all the embassies, including the US Embassy compound called Little Washington on University Avenue which is only a half-mile or so from DASSK’s compound, No. 54. People will rally around her.

What will then happen is that the forces of SPDC will retreat north toward Naypyidaw. All that the UN forces have to do is secure the Rangoon and Irrawaddy regions and begin their humanitarian operations. They do not need to go any further. Just being there will make the prediction come true. A self-fulfilling prophecy for TS and SPDC.

As for the retreating Burmese army units, some will defect, some will desert, some will retreat. Nationwide — people with rise up, and with the aid of ethnic freedom fighter groups, there can be a gradual rout: e.g., when South Vietnamese forces began a retreat in the face of a North Vietnamese attack near the DMZ, it started of a panic as more and more units joined the retreat to the south and the maneuver became a chaotic massive scramble to escape. The entire Southern army collapsed and ran south. As they retreated more, the Northern forces advanced more and finally by the end of April 1975 they reached Saigon and achieved a complete victory.
 
Of course, it is hoped that the UN Forces will serve, as always, as honorable peacekeepers and not act like cruel Spanish Conquistadors or the North Vietnamese communists who were so oppressive that the South Vietnamese began escaping — boatload after tragic boatload — enduring storms, capsizings, pirate attacks, starvation, cannibalism, and other horrors for many years.

For those not familiar with Burmese History, U Aung Ze Ya was a commoner from the northern city of Shwebo who rallied his people and raised an army to fight against the Mon Empire in Lower Burma. In 1767 or thereabouts he defeated them in the place called Dagon (and hence the name Shwe Dagon for the Great Pagoda there) and renamed it Yangon, meaning the End of Hostilities.

For the Mons, it was a terrible destruction of their Empire resulting in the massacre of thousands of Mon people and they remember the founding of Rangoon, or Yangon, with bitter memories. Why is there a prediction that Rangoon will be destroyed one day, over 200 years later? Is it because there was a massive curse placed upon that place by the thousands of Mons as they were killed and thrown into the Rangoon River? (the river ran red with blood it was written). I feel sad for Rangoonians since I myself was born and raised there, but I also understand how the Mons must have felt because I have Mon friends and my wife’s family is from Mwert Malerm (Moulmein), Mon State. It was a terrible tragedy for all Mons since that time. I wish there could be a reconciliation between Mon and Burmese for all the cruelties of the past. It can happen if DASSK is president. She studies Mon, too.

U Aung Ze Ya then became King Alaungphaya and founded the Third Burmese Kingdom and the Konbaung Dynasty that lasted until the last monarch of Burma, King Thibaw. Sr. Gen. TS claims to be a descendant and perhaps a reincarnation, maybe?, of King Thibaw.

What day-born is Sr. Gen. TS, DKK, other SPDC generals, and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi?

Tuesday is the day of the Lion, which is also the National Animal and included in the National Emblem, along with the Peacock. Who among national leaders were born on Tuesdays? I am, and my astrological name is Zaw Win, Z for Zaw, but I don’t think I’m cut out to be a leader. I only draw political cartoons and write articles.

Perhaps it is Gen. Aung San, S for San, Sa Sa Za Za Nya, the second set of letters in the Burmese alphabet. (corresponds to other S.E.Asian alphabets which all originated from India)
Monday-borns are named with the first five letters, Ka Kha Ga Ga Nga. So Kyaing Kyaing could be a Monday-born, a Tiger. Tigress for her. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was named partly for her parents, but Suu is her own name, and S for Suu, why, she could very well be the Tuesday-born we are looking for. Maybe that is why Sr. Gen. TS and DKK fear and hate her SOOO much. By the way, Shwe as in Than Shwe does not qualify for Tuesday, because it is spelled with a Ya Gauk, a Thursday-born, which I believe could be a rat. I’m not sure, but knowing TS for what he is, I hope it is rat.

Isn’t TS already in deep, deep doo-doo? He is now the butt of all jokes around the world, the spitoon for all spit, the bashing boy for all political bashers. His notoriety is spreading globally, and early in the year, he was named as the 2rd Worst Dictator, the 1st being Kim Jong Il. For 2009, he will likely garner the No. 1 title. 8 August 2008 will be the 20th anniversary of the 8-8-88 Uprising and all people of/from Burma are now gearing up for this Event. Sure, 2008 is going to be the year TS gets into huge trouble.

DKK is not Burmese. TS is, but she is a Pa-O, a different ethnic group which is found in Shan States, Karenni and Karen States. For her to consult an older Pa-O woman is not surprising. This woman is said to have Akyah Amyin (a seeress who can hear and see future portents).
 
Footnote E

Pathein, or Bassein, is in the west of the Irrawaddy Delta and is its capital city. It was effected by the cyclone also, but no news seem to be forthcoming. So back then, DKK was just a Colonel’s wife (0-6, meaning Officer level #6) Or Brigadier General. (0-7) Now she is 0-11, or rather her husband is. [the 0 system is by the US Army, but comparable to the Burmese Army]

Footnote F

In 1992, the puppet dictator, General Saw Maung, became insane, publicly proclaiming he was The King Kyansittha from the First Burmese Empire of a thousand years ago, one of the greatest monarchs and was said to have yelled and pulled out his pistol, threatening to shoot people, getting angry for no reason. (It could be neurosyphilis causing the royal megalomania, the result of sexual indiscretions from the past) He was quietly taken out of power (and mysteriously died; murdered?) by the other generals likely on the orders of Gen. Ne Win who was still calling shots from behind the scenes, and replaced with Than Shwe. So DKK became puppet Queen and when Ne Win finally got deposed and died at the hands of his own protégé TS, DKK became an absolute Queen. It must have all gone into her head and swelled it.

Footnote G

King Tha Loon (also spelled Thalun) was from the 1600’s, considered a “Great” monarch, known to have supported Buddhism and built the Kaung Hmu Daw Pagoda in Sagaing. He is called in Burmese Tha Loon Min Tayah Gyi which literally means the Great Just King Tha Loon because he was very fair and impartial in his rulings. Not all kings get to be called this title, Min Tayah Gyi. E.g., King Thibaw, the last king, was simply known as Thibaw Min, min meaning king. In the case of Than Shwe, he will likely be known as Than Shwe Minhso, meaning the bad king, and DKK will be Meet Bayahso, the bad queen. Or maybe Min Yoke Mar, the evil king.

It is curious that she imagines herself to be a reincarnation of a just and religious king when she herself is evil beyond compare.

Riding the white elephant is not something whimsical. Only great kings get to own white elephants and if such an animal is ever found, it means that king is great. Burmese kings in the past used to invade Thailand to capture their white pachyderms so they’d be known as great kings. One king who invaded Thailand was called Hsinbyushin, or the White Elephant King. Such is the reverence and awe for this rare animal because it was one of the reincarnations of Buddha. So when not just one, but two white elephants were discovered during the SPDC’s time, both TS and Khin Nyunt got really excited.

Each of them felt it meant they were destined to be THE King and that perhaps contributed to the row between them and to the deposition of the latter.

DKK, since she imagined herself to be both King and Queen (we should strip and check her pubic area to see if she has both sexual organs) simply HAD to go ride it, as only special royalty gets to do it. So do not laugh about DKK riding a white elephant. It shows she is very megalomaniac and dead serious about this royalty thing and hence very dangerous to the public at large.

Footnote I

Just how megalomaniac is the way she insisted she be called the Queen Mother, as in the days of old. It is not just this Major Aung Lin Htut. Many different sources have reported this and DKK is a national laughing stock. About the yaddya ritual where she orders Aung San Suu Kyi to leave. One wonders if that was done right in front of her rival — was DKK brave enough to do that? Or was it done in the absence of DASSK?

This is one ritual that surely has not worked since DASSK will not leave.

PM Soe Win is no more. He died of leukemia last year. Why did DKK promote him to that status? In reality, his PM job was only in name. The real power lay in her husband’s hands. Perhaps this was Yaddya in the most ominous sense. Perhaps it was predicted that a national leader would sicken and die, so DKK had Soe Win take this ceremonial post years ahead of time. Gen. Soe Win, the man who faithfully carried out the orders of TS to murder over 100 NLD members to include DASSK during the Depeyin Massacre of June 2003 (five-year anniversary coming up) was very much hated by the People.

The chump did not know DKK was just playing him for a pawn, a yaddya pawn. So that when the omen did come true, it would be he who died, and not her husband. It shows how unscrupulous she is.

Yaddya is a heterogenous system of rituals which is part of Baydin fortune-telling to avert disaster. If you are foretold of a disaster, you can perform a yaddya ritual and let someone or something else bear the brunt of the disaster. E.g., Ne Win was said to have buried a small golden coffin at one time; at another time, he was said to have shot his image in the mirror. The frequent interethnic riots instigated by the MI agents are likely yaddya. Muslims and Buddhists kill each other. Kachins fight with Shans. Burmese fight with Chinese. In each case, instead of the Government that falls, the various ethnic people fall dead killing each other, instigated by MI agents, so the yaddya ritual is fulfilled; more pragmatically, the government gets to call out martial law and clamp down a curfew, and any dissent against it is squashed, and so once more, yaddya has succeeded in averting the downfall of a dictator. It shows just how evil these generals are, since there have been many race-religion riots in the past 50 years.

Footnote K

The writer, Major Aung Lin Htut, claims to know everything about TS and DKK. If so, how can he ever think of requesting them to stop doing yaddya and abandon their beliefs?
If he truly knows this couple, he should understand that they are incorrigible. They are worse than Khway Mee Kauk Kyi Dauk Soot. (sliding a bamboo tube on a curly dog’s tail.) They will never straighten out but remain the crooks that they are. In fact, we have to devise a new saying just for them, “Khway Mee Kauk Kyi Dauk Kwair”, meaning their tails are so crooked and curled the tube would split apart if you ever tried sliding it on.

It is remarkable that Major Aung Lin Htut signed his name as “He Who Knows Internal Matters,“ or “ A Twin Theet “ and yet puts his name in parentheses underneath.

Is he trying to exalt himself as a man of power because he has special knowledge?

Be that as it all may, all these superstitions of TS and DKK are a special knowledge and it is fervently hoped that we will be able to exploit them in our War for Burma Liberation. This year, 2008, the bitter-tragic 20th Anniversary of the 8-8-88 National Uprising, must surely become the Year of Liberation and Peace. At last. Peace at last, to echo Dr. Martin Luther King.
