Awesome illustration showing some truth for once

Chinese govt never hesitates to do anything, if it’s profitable to them. Even if there is a gold in her mom’s head, she will kill her mom to get it…….If China is not our neighboring country, Burma would have changed along time ago. But with this greedy pig country, we still have to wait……….

  • #9 Steve from New York Says:

Regarding the pro-Chinese postings: If I didn’t know they were genuine, I’d think they were a sick joke. If you want to be taken seriously by the world, please bone up on your English. The lack of capitalization where apropriate is particularly disturbing. One of you didn’t even capitalize the name of your country. It’s “China”, not china. China is a country, china is tableware.
What do you want the world to think? That you are incapable of pronouncing “L’s” and “R’s” too? Do you really go around saying things like “Me ruv you rong time” and “Me likee eggroll?

Come on Chinese, if you’re proud of a country that stomps its own (Remember Tienamen Square?) and has air so bad that birds fall out of the sky on a regular basis, you can certainly employ some instructors from America to teach you proper English. Of course I suppose you can’t get any to accept pickled fish eyes with rice as a salary.

  • #10 Jason Brennan Says:

That was such a lame stereotype of using Asian accents of English to demean an ethnicity. Unlike most Caucasian Americans that only know one language and expects everybody else to know it, other nations are multilingual. Come on America, if you’re proud of your country of human rights standards (remember Civil Rights Movement, Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq), go back to school and learn more about the world through books, not TV. Oh wait, you can’t because your government screwd you over with the “No Child Left Behind” act.

  • #11 Mia Says:

    Thank you Jason.

I can’t understand how mastering English is equated to civilisation. That just shows how bloated one can be, if you think your language is superior. Do the Chinese laugh at Caucasians for not being able to speak Mandarin? Goodness gracious.

  • #12 Kim Says:

Steve, why do you care if someone can speak perfect English? Can you speak perfect Mandarin? It’s the most spoken language in the world. The fact that people can speak two languages is better than most ignorant Americans. And I would also like to point out that you spelled “appropriate” wrong, so I would consider looking at your own “English” before you go criticizing others.

  • #13 wjdpdj Says:

    Lmao :L

Wait till the u.s holds the Olympic, I wonder what kinds of drawings will come up.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

  • #14 The Guardian Says:

Ok, I’m not from China and I’m not from the States. I’d just position my whereabouts somewhere inbetween, without having English as my native language.

One thing I must make clear though, is that after experiencing the ways of several types of culture, I prefer the western one. I will not enter to the depths of it, because of the biased reactions to this area.

    @ Chinese people:
The record of human rights that your country posesses is an example to be avoided. You may enjoy this way of life, but this does not mean you will impose your laws of censorship to the rest of the world. Depending on the image you give to outsiders, you will get the appropriate response. It works for us all.

    @ Westerners:
Our major flaw and mistake is that we bother ourselves with cultures that have nothing in common with the western world. What is even worse is that we transfer significant parts of our economy to the east, to a form of cheap mass production pipeline that proves to be way below acceptable standards. Let us seal our economy back and keep the good standards our products do have.

    @ All
The Olympic Idea describes the way of thinking of the Western World and has extremely deep roots through time. Being hosted by a country of such a disrespect for human life is at least insulting.

Possible solution to all of this:
Westerners: Keep your companies away from China.
Chinese: Keep your mongoloid armies out of our lands.

Just childish displays like this entertain me so much.

  • #16 Katie and Katherine Says:

We are Chinese and Korean people living in China and ad we are proud to be of Asian decent. What you people are posting is judgemental and unethical. Just because you don’t understand another country’s culture and their prospects of things, doesnt mean that you should criticize and degrade them. Aren’t you even shamed to post this? You did not have a first hand experiance in China, and you shouldn’t be guessing and making things up. And also steven, correct your own English before criticizing others; you are being a hypocrite. It doesnt matter if a asian country can’t speak English well, at least we try and learn. FYI we speak perfect English with no accent and we also speak perfect Chinese and Korean and Japanese. There are also many learned people living in Asia, and people like you are degrading your own country. Lets be more globally open and understand each other.

  • #17 Dave Says:

“The lack of capitalization where apropriate is particularly disturbing.” yeah steve maybe you should learn to spell, its appropriate not apropriate. haha loser telling chinese to improve their english while you cant even spell correctly lol

  • #18 Li Says:

I do wonder how this picture led to an argument (above) about stereotypes and everything. If I’m not mistaken, this picture was a JOKE. Some people may also call it a piece of art. It is the way you see the picture that determines whether it is discriminiating Chinese people, or whatever. At least this one isn’t nearly as bad as the cartoon named something along the lines of:
“How the Chinese got the Olympic Logo.”

  • #19 fuckthestereotypicals Says:

guys ive been fed up with this random propaganda and posters about chinese people and their government so can you guys just give it a break and just like do something else thats less offensive? have you seen chinese people making fun of americans? maybe some but not as much as americans do. so please stop.

  • #20 Veritas Says:

@Joel-USA: You are an idiot. You are only making us Americans look bad with your ignorance.

@OP: This “cartoon” in fact doesn’t really make sense without further explanation. The only bloodshed that happened during the time of the olympics was when the US volleyball coach was murdered. However, the fact that there is street crime does not reflect upon the Chinese government or any government; just walk around in a major metropolis Detroit at night and you’ll see (and experience) what I am talking about. Honestly, clarify on this a little. What makes you relate the Beijing Olympics to slaughter? I see little reason to other than the fear of China’s development towards which fear. Even if this is the case, this sort of statement is irrational and ignorant and would not benefit anybody.

  • #21 Veritas Says:

@ “The Guardian” and similar – Ironically, your xenophobic way of thinking contradicts the very ideal of the Olympic Games: to display the might of the human being through a grand athletic competition. Yes, China has known to have violations on human rights. However, has not the United States done similar throughout our history? China’s hosting of the Olympic Games is a gesture that they, like us, favor progress. It took time for the United States to become the great nation as it is today. Similarly, it will take China and all other nations the same kind of incremental change that is only possible through time. The kind of xenophobia and racism you have expressed is a backwards way of thinking and is the kind of mentality that inhibits necessary progress.
