Let’s look at some principles of the con-stitution to see how ridiculous the principles are in relation to reality; such as the State shall provide for modern education, health system, reduce unemployment (yes, through porter slavery); there shall be no nationalization, no demonetization; everyone will have freedom of religion, and freedom to learn and practice one’s own ethnic language, culture, literature blab blah blah …

  • there will be modern education: in a dismal hut with split bamboo benches, kids studying in dismal conditions ;
  • modern hospitals — patients crammed two to a bed,
  • there will be no demonetization — think of all the moneys that had been demonetized,
  • there will be no unemployment — porters taken at gunpoint
  • State officials shall not be involved in politics — only military officers will
  • Farmers will get fair market prices for farm produce — government fixed prices at very cheap levels
  • there will be freedom of religion — mosques and churches burned, Buddhist monks killed
  • no one shall be held over 24 hr — except DASSK and other prisoners

The only thing correct about this con-stitution is that it is a big CON-artist job and the name acronym it has selected for the nation (Republic of Union of Myanmar) “R. U. M.”, which is consistent with the army rum that the soldiers drink all the time. Used to be R U B (Republic of Union of Burma) then went to S R U B (Socialist Republic of Union of Burma) during the sauk shellist (just my pun, meaning damn shameless) era.
