That's right even we are wake up at midnight and have to vote, we will vote for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. So military government is very afraid to compete with her and kick her off blindly.

How much U Than Shwe is afraid to face with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, he dare not see her face to face. As U Than Shwe has done a lots of crimes, he dare not face her. (Sin Phyu Myat Hnar Sin Mae Ma Shin Thar)

The conditions that SPDC FM Nyan Win stated to the ASEAN FMs in Singapore allegedly to be included in SPDC’s completed Draft Constitution with regards to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s ineligibility to participate in proposed 2010 election are not surprise news to many Burmese. As SPDC knows too well most certainly she will be elected if she is ever allowed to do so, providing that their Draft Constitution is approved without much difficulty in May.

Ex-British Ambassador Derek Tonkin pointed out in Mizzima of what rights and privileges that Aliens could and could not enjoy while residing in the UK. The undeniable fact is that DASSK has never given up her Burmese passport thus continuously retain her Burmese citizenship, and has lived back in Burma since 1988. The question is, would the Generals be willing to look into those establish facts and allow to amend their completed draft constitution at this late stage. Not likely at all. They already have set the referendum date to May to approve their draft constitution..

The UN Special Envoy Mr. Gambari is quite likely to return to Naypyidaw in early March, hopefully to persuade the Generals for inclusiveness of the upcoming election. Unfortunately, Mr. Gambari has no leverage to deal with the recalcitrant Generals, to allow the democratic oppositions to participate in the election process without accepting their Draft Constitution. It will be most interesting what Mr. Gambari would likely to achieve on his upcoming visit, perhaps his final visit to Naypyidaw according to most obervers and analysts.
