SHAN embassy opened in Germany
……..
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Since decades the Shan people are fighting for their freedom, equality, democracy and self-determination in the jungles of Shan State in Burma / Myanmar. The earth is soaked with the blood of the people, who left their life in this war. But still the Shan are not free and their struggle for freedom is not fulfilled.
Now it is time, to transform some of the bullets into words and spread the words around the world. Words, that speak about the desire for freedom, equality, democracy and self-determination, the culture and of the Shan people themselves. On Thursday, the 7th February 2008, which is celebrated as Shan National Day, these words have settled in Germany in the heart of Europe. On Thursday the SHAN Embassy Germany will be opened to represent the Shan in foreign countries.
As a consulate of the SHAN Embassy Germany and as a delegate of the Restoration Council of the Shan State (RCSS) I am in close contact with the good government of the Shan State, that is fighting bravely for the freedom, equality, democracy and self-determination of the Shan people. The SHAN Embassy is building a bridge from Europe to the Shan State and to the good government RCSS.
The SHAN Embassy Germany is a meeting-place for the friends of the Shan people, humanitarian aid and donations can be delivered directly to needy projects or can be transferred to the foundation of the RCSS. Politicians, journalists and interested people can get answers to their questions and I like to help with a visit to the liberated areas of the good government to see the situation with your own eyes.
The Shan flag, that I received from the RCSS is now flying in front of the SHAN Embassy in Germany. From now on I am available for further questions, ideas and the deeply needed donations. I thank you very much for your attention and your support for the Shan people in their struggle for freedom, equality, democracy and self-determination.
Yours sincerely,
Mai Soong Kha

Now, I think it is best to bring it out into the open so that the Burmese people as well as the World would understand the whole issue of “Burma crisis”.
The cause of Burma’s Civil War in 1948 was due to the revolt of two types of Communist Party of Burma (Thakin Than Tun, Ba Thein Tin, Thakin Soe : Bo Myint Aung, Bo La Yaung, etc) against the then weak AFPFL (Anti Facist Peoples’ Freedom League) government of U Nu, U Kyaw Nyein, U Ba Swe, etc, (with only 12,000 men BNA Army), followed by the rebellion of Communist BNA (Burma National Army battalions led by Bo Zeya, Bo Yan Aung, Bo Ye Htut, etc).
Later in 1949, the KNU rebelled.(Note: The Karen State was under British rule since Burma lost the 1st Anglo-Burman War in 1824 and thus the Karens have inclined towards British and most of them beome Christians. Before that, it was under Konbaung Dynasty’s rule.) KNU has been demanding self-determination and the independence of Karen State at once since Burma’s Independence.
And, the Shan led by Sao Shwe Thaik, demanding to secede from the Union in the mid 50s. In 1958 AFPFL government split and General Ne Win took over the power as a caretaker government, thus adding fuel to the burning crisis. Then in 1962, everybody knows. . . . . the main culprit was Ne Win. But,we don’t even want to hear the names of all those bastards who started and involved in the civil war.(Army,Communists,KNU,SSA, all)
In this 21st century, we are the new generation, and we don’t need all those 2nd generation old self-interest people and their families, the same as we don’t need old and hardline army people who would destroy our country. We don’t need Princes and Princesses and Generals to rule the people and the country.
I hope the history will not repeat itself, and I hope I do not need a passport to travel to Taunggyi where my wife a 100% Shan lady stays.

Some shans must be crazy, just for their own self-interest. Instead, they should try to unite and form an exile government including Shan,Karen, Kachin,Karenni,Chin,Mon,Rakhine and NLD/Democratic forces. Show your unity and speak one voice under one Union Seal. You need to assure to the UN and the World that there will be no “Balkanization” when you all together take over power from the SPDC. Then only you can get the genuine support from the International Community, Asean, and even from China and Russia. If you can’t even unite together as an exile government, who would trust you. What are you afterall? One head Two hands two legs creature, right? People respect to the “Unity”.

Who actually destroys Union of Burma?
Who destroys Panlong Agreement?
Who destroys Shan, Karen, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Mon and other ethnic languages?
Who destroys all?
Talking union is nonsense unless each state is free including Burma state, Pyima.
My wife is a Burmese and I am not worried about my wife what she wants to be. I am worried about the majority of suffering people and they need to be free from Burmanization or maha bamar dictatorship.

There you are! Very much sounds like 2nd generation old guys.Panlong is dead long ago the same as Singapore-Malaysia new bridge was scrapped. Blame to military junta dogs for Burma apocalypse. In Burma, new generations of Chinese and Indians do not speak their native languages as well even between their families. They follow the easy Burmese dress and language. This is their own choice.
It’s time to show the world that all pro-democracy forces are unite. It goes without saying that if there is no unity, you can’t get water out of a stone and you are doomed to repeat the history.
