Exile Government Not Worthwhile

_ By Samuel T. Lupho

It will not be worthwhile having exile government or another exile government.
1. Relationship building, influencing, cooperation will be blocked in the land by military rulers and exile government may be less recognised, unwelcome, in the land by the people.
2. If we are going to have it, or have had, the military government will take an opportunity to strengthen its influence and power among the masses.
3. Discriminations, deprivation, exclusions of pro-democracy activist living inside Burma will be become worse.
4. International solidarity and support for democracy movement will decrease, advocacy and lobby/pressure by UN or other governments on the military regime will become more difficult than expected, took longer time and bear less success.
5. If pro-Junta constitutions are pushed forward, we should bravely counter it by pushing pro-people democratic principle/movements.
6. Many souls perished in the land (not outside), much blood was spilled in the land. Those souls had already laid the foundation to establish pro-people democratic government in the land (not in exile).
7. Tolerance will judge the future of Burma.
8. Further study needs to base on the development and experience of the historical processes in different regions/states.
