I vote for 88 generation students and U Gambira. We should probably vote for 88 generation students collectively. Ko Jimmy appeared quite often in the media initially and later Ko Htay Kwyel was really active during the uprisings.

"PERSONS OF THE YEAR 2007 IN BURMA" - As the topic of this article stated, I think it is fair to vote for both Monks and Civilian organizations that have been participating in the democracy movements of all time especially this year 2007 September.

I also very much agree with what "#141 Stephen Bolen Says:" to beware of nations that support their own versions of facism especially Russia and China. They put a face mask to cheat the world as if they are free societies. But in reality they are supporting other tyranny governments like Myanmar.

I vote for Min Ko Naing. He is a brave young man and active. We need a young active man to work with us and toward a democratic country. We also need a person who really understand all current situation and staying close with us. I think he is the best.

Russia's partnership in the global war on terror is a farce. She has no interest seeing a change in the terrorist government in Burma since they also are non-democratic with immense issues of voter and other fraud that are kept away from public scrutiny. Former KGB director, Putin, who has stated that 'once a KGB agent, always a KGB agent' is out to prove that this is true. There is no real democratic debate in China, Russia, Tibet, or Burma. Rather, those who control the military control the masses and these nations with similar goals find solidarity supporting their own versions of facism. Russia and China try to convince the world that they are like free societies and should be given favor in terms of trade, IMF loan guarantees, trade supports and lots of other freebies while they support the governments of every petty tyrant waring against every democratically elected nation. Sadly, people have been duped into treating them like they were doing good things (like fighting terror, supporting democratic elections etc.) when they were and are about doing very bad things (slavery, murder, intimidation, illicit drug sales, money laundering, and fraud). Let's stop supporting nations like China that enslave and murder millions of Christians. America and Europe need to stop portraying Russia and China as global partners in the war on terror since they support terrorism and are themselves terrorist nations. It looks bad when the free world supports nations who only say they support the things the free world does, when they really don't. God bless those who love and strive for peace and equality. God bless Burma! SAY NO! TO SLAVE MADE CHINESE PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTED BY WALMART!

Why did you take my vote out? That shows lack of credibility of your voting system. You only pick what you want to hear.

Than Shwe is also striving for the return of democracy to Burma in his own way, like what you just did to my vote.
