THE HIDDEN TRUTH 2

The worst and malicious thing in life is when someone initiate to create and announce lies, then release fabricated dishonest statements and, people start to believe it.

That really is the worst thing in life. The trues are false and the falses are true. In this way, it is easy for the Burma junta to deliberately coerce the people to believe something false. All they need to pay attention is when to set up and mount show-offs such as pro-junta “forced rallies” and, how to disseminate their fabricated statements.

Reviewing SPDC’s deceitful announcement in its mouthpiece newspapers on Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s statement released by the United Nations Envoy in Singapore, it undeniably turned out to reflect the junta chief Than Shwe’s ‘xenophobia’. Its tone of phrasing was charging that the UN is a “foreigner” and Asean as “foreign country”.

How regrettable it is to grasp the junta’s charging on the UN and Asean in this way as if Burma is not a member of both the UN and Asean family.

Given the present situations and conditions of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest, the junta hand-picked leaders of the ethnic groups should understand that this is the only way she has to declare a statement. In her heartfelt statement, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was honestly considering for her country and sincerely conveying a thought for the people of Burma as a “Peoples’ Leader”.

As for the statement, it is formal to release officially after the meetings with the UN Envoy Mr Gambari. It is not a new or uncommon proceeding and nothing was misleading in the statement. It reflected from the bottom of her heart with sincere feelings towards her people and the country.

I am sure by now, all of junta’s hand-picked leaders of the ethnic groups who objected Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and announced their insincere statements with junta’s rhetoric have obtained the Burmese version of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s statement.

In her statement, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said: “In the interest of the nation, ….. in this time of vital need for democratic solidarity and national unity, it is my duty to give constant and serious considerations to the interest and opinions of as broad a range of political organizations and forces as possible, in particular those of our ethnic nationality races.” . . . . . .

Her statement prompts many to relive with her father General Aung San’s speeches. Last sixty years ago her father said:

“I’ve come to work at politics not because of aspiring to show-off. I’m doing for Burma to get independence. I’m doing for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Burma.”

“For me, I never thought of any benefit from doing politics. I always work at a loss only. It is no difference for me to work as a Minister. Being a War Minister during the whole of Japanese era, I don’t have more than two or three clothes. I’m still wearing these clothes now until this post war era. I get no salary, no money. Then ask how much prestige has gone up for me being a Minister?”

“I prefer the prestige that the people give to me as a *Peoples’ Leader* than the prestige as a Minister. Prestige as a Minister is only equals to a dust sticking under the foot of the *Peoples’ Leader Prestige*.”

For rebuilding and development of the country, General Aung San said: “Unless we all bend down full and do it hard(work) with utmost force and energy, the country would become a ‘whore nation’.”

There is no doubt that many of the junta hand-picked ethnic minority leaders are the Peoples’ Leaders of their own minority races, or at least “they were” or “they have been” the leaders. Since the late 1950s, they fought against the government for their minority races cause, territory and demanding more autonomy over their states or regions.

Now, let us ascertain who are those junta picked ethnic groups that objected and disagree with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s statement.

KDA (Kachin Defence Army) is one of the splinter groups of former KIA (Kachin Independence Army) under KIO (Kachin Independence Organization) who signed cease fire agreement with the junta in 1994. This cease fire agreement creates many splinter factions within KIO. Political status remains unstable in Kachin State with armed skirmishes still going on while smuggling and drug trafficking businesses are booming. KDA members rose to instant riches, but KDA does not represent the majority of the Kachin people. They represent as a mouthpiece of junta over Kachin State.

KNPLF (Karenni National Peoples’ Liberation Front) is the rivals of KNPP (Karenni National Progressive Party) who is the backbone of KA (Karenni Army) which was founded in 1957. Apart from the brief cease fire with the junta in 1995, the KA has been fighting since, but KNPLF signed ceased fire agreement with the junta. Thus, with the backing, protection and support from the junta, KNPLF is operating illegal drug trafficking and smuggling businesses. KNPLF does not represent the majority of Kayans, and the political situation there is not stable.

Mro(or)Khami National Solidarity Organization(NSO) is the small ethnic group in Rakhine State, who signed peace agreement with the junta and has become the junta mouthpiece in Rakhine. Being hand-picked ethnic group, it has representatives in the junta guided national convention and constitution. Their head office is based in “Kyauktaw” Rakhine. This MNSO also does not represent the majority of Rakhine people in the Rakhine State.

Shan State(North) SR-3 SSA or “Wa”; LNDP (Lahu National Development Party); KDUP (Ko Kang Democracy Unity Party) are all ethnic origins, though everyone knows SS(North)SR-3 and KDUP are Chinese majority.

All small Shan State regions including ‘Wa’ were joined together in the “Federated Shan States” in 1922 during the British rule. In 1947, a single Shan States including “Wa” State was established. Since 1948, “Wa” rebellion was started under ‘Burma Communist Party’(BCP) command and with China’s directive, support and reinforcements. In 1958, Shan rebellion was started by a small group known as “Noom Suik Ham” and later joined by the Shan State Army(SSA). “Wa” signed cease fire agreement and joined the junta in 1989 with China’s directive after BCP was dissolved. Then “Lahu” joined and, “Ko Kang” surrendered and joined junta in the later years. SSA continues its fight against the junta and Shan State is still unstable. The three ethnic groups alone do not represent the whole Shan State and the Shan people.

From the above facts, it could explicitly make sense that the junta selected ethnic groups do not represent all the ethnic minority races. If they are sincere and honest as Peoples’ Leaders, they should look at the broader picture of the present day political situation in Burma and declare the same statement as announced by the UNA (United Nationalities Alliance) on 15 November 2007.

Quoted from part of the UNA Statement: “An Alliance of Ethnic Political Parties has issued a statement welcoming detained National League for Democracy Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s willingness to cooperate with the junta in constructive engagement”.

UNA, an umbrella group made up of twelve ethnic political groups said in the statement that they were very pleased to hear Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s commitment to pursue the path of dialogue constructively.

The statement was signed by all ethnic parties represented in the UNA : The SNLD (Shan Nationalities League for Democracy); The MNDF (Mon National Democratic Front); The ZNC (Zomi National Congress); The ALD (Arakan League for Democracy); The CNLD (Chin National League for Democracy); The KNLD (Karen National League for Democracy); The KSNCD (Kachin State National Congress for Democracy); KSNLD (Kayah State Nationalities League for Democracy; DOKNU (Democratic Organization for Kayan National Unity; The MPP (Mara Peoples Party); Shan State KDP (Ko Kang Democratic Party); The APDF (Arakan Peoples’ Democratic Front).

Well, if the junta’s hand-picked six ethnic groups are not yet edify and still fooling themselves with Daw Aung Suu Kyi’s sincere statement, I would suggest them to go back a few years and look at their painful past when they were striving against the junta for their minority races.

I am sure they could still pick up the cruel memories of the “acts of forced relocations”; “forced labour”; “forced deprivation”; “internal refugees”; “extortions”; “torture”; “executions”; “beatings”; “rapes”; “burning and destruction of villages” by the junta’s forces.

One might argue that this is war and inevitably there will be collateral damages and especially the women and the children will be the first victims.

But then, why did the junta killed unarmed monks and the peaceful pro-democracy protestors? Why did SPDC unable to resolve ethnic conflicts and political problems through peaceful means? Or through genuine dialogues? Are there no other means to resolve other than the war or by guns and bullets? Do they only have brains to have a daughter dress with diamonds all over the body like a Christmas tree at her wedding? Don’t they know that the standard of life for the vast majority of the people is sliding downwards at the fastest ever speed? Don’t they know that the “Race and Nationality” of Burma is now under serious threat?

If, unfortunately, the six ethnic group leaders who joined SPDC would become “mini dictators” in their regions, it will be the end of Burmese history and Burma would be swallowed up by the giant neighbour.

All of the junta hand-picked ethnic groups except the Mro were once upon a time “Chinese” or “Chinese origin”. They must always remember that they were pushed down to the South by the stronger migrants from the North, not once but twice, thrice and finally settled in their respective States or regions in Burma becoming Shans, Kachins, Chins, Kayans, etc.

Even now in the 21st century, all people of Burma: Kachin, Kayan, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan and the Burmans are facing the clear and present danger of migration push from the North again.

We all can see and feel the “Chinese Colonization” everywhere, every place, everyday inside our own country. In many towns, apart from the fluttering of the Burmese flags by the side of the government buildings, there is little to suggest any connection with Burma except for the “longyis and Pa-soes” still wearing by the people. Burmese “kyat” becomes only a paper in some towns because they accept only Chinese Yuan. The street signs, the language and most government employees are Chinese, though many are ethnic Chinese born in Burma or migrated from Yunnan.

This time round, in the 21st century migration push, you would be too late to move South because there is no more land in the South. Awaiting in the South for you is the vast Indian ocean only.

So, do you want to jump into the Indian ocean and have a nice Rest in Peace? Or do you all want to join hands together and fight back this migration push from the North(China)?

We all can together fight against this real and present threat hand in hand by having “Peoples’ Government” and “Peoples’ Leaders” resulting from “National Reconciliation” through genuine dialogues between all parties to save our Motherland.

Only the “Peoples’ Leaders” and “Democratic Government” backed by all people of Burma can reverse this danger by “Good Governance and Proper & Skillful Management” of the country. SPDC has failed and disappointed to the people and the country. The junta must stop acting like a robot all the time citing: “We are doing. We are progressing forward with the seven steps road map.” This junta’s self-protected seven steps road map would not help anything. It is just a rubbish.

This “Hidden Truth 2″ is now at your doorstep knocking the door and, there is not much time left. If there is no “National Reconciliation” in the near future, be alert and open your eyes, ears, and listen for the sounds of ocean.
