    I cannot believe my eyes!

I thought, of all the people, those who believe in ‘democratic values’ should have such attitudes to put in the advertisement, “Those who have relations with Burmese lieutenant colonel and above are not eligible to apply.”

Didn’t we have in our Burmese saying, “letma ma-kaung letma; chey-ma ma-kaung chey-ma”? Whether inside Burma or abroad, the Burmese will be Burmese. Can anyone forget how people have been barred from this job or that job because such and such has been related to this disgraced politician or because he or she was of a certain religion by the Ne Win’s BSPP regime and also Than Shwe’s regime? Do we have to put ourselves at their level?

In such a case, even if one were to be qualified for the positions advertised, Professor Win should be glad if he didn’t get some ‘fingers’.
