Commander’s Order

A couple of years ago, one Burmese Navy Gun Boat (Ex-USCG) was anchored near Mergui Naval Base in Burma.

After the normal routine Inspection on one morning, PO of the Gun Boat reported to Commander.

“Commander”

“Yes”

“There’s fire in our Engine Room.”

“Turn on all fire pumps. Use all fire reels and hoses to extinguish that fire.”

“Yes, Commander.”

Half an hour later, PO reported to Commander.

“Commander, we extinguished fire in the engine room.”

Commander was not happy and he gave the following order to all crew. “ABANDON SHIP”

PO was surprised.

Commander shouted to his PO.

“You Bastard. Engine Room is full of water and our Boat is sinking.”
