Ultimate Justice
Oct 4th, 2007
Words are useless
At this time
Forgiveness?
No way!
Justice?
What kind of justice
Do we want?
But will justice be enough?
No, any kind of justice
Cannot appease our grief
The sorrow that we feel
For our Sangha and our people
No kind of justice
Can replace the loss
Of those lives
So precious.
It was on a sacred full moon day
When they came and opened fire
On our revered Sangha
At the Sule pagoda.
Oh dear Lord,
You say we have to forgive
And yet forgiveness is
The hardest thing
To do right now.
It is too early;
Much, much too raw.
Later, perhaps,
When the rage
Has subsided a little
But, only after
Ultimate Justice
Has been served!
