At the UN, Burmese FM Nyan Win insists junta has shown ‘restraint’ on the protestors. If so, Oxford and all other Dictionaries may have to add the definition of restraint as “Burma junta’s killing of hundreds of unarmed monks and civilians protesting peacefully for democracy”.

The junta may have won the battle of brutally cracking down its own ordinary people on the streets, but definitely will lose the war of “Dignity, Respect and Trust” in the world. You can’t live alone in the world. Now that the “epiphany, serenity and the grandeur” of the Buddhist Monesteries and Temples have gone, the country will be descending much deeper into abyss as long as the junta is around.

The UN special envoy Mr Gambari has left Burma back to UN to report the results of the talks with Burma junta leaders and National League for Democracy Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

Now we are counting on China and Russia not to wield their veto powers on Burma matters. We hope them to understand and share the feelings and sufferings of the ordinary people of Burma, same as their own citizens who suffered the same before their countries have not yet liberalzied. Ordinary Burmese people on the streets request China and Russia to put aside (at least temporary) their concern “on the influence of Burma; access to Bay of Bangal; to build the N.reactor; etc.;etc.” and to guide the junta work towards sincere democracy accepted by all civilians of Burma.

Once the dust settles, people of Burma want to see all the political prisoners are freed and “the serenity, grandeur and epiphany” in our temples and monesteries are back.
