Demonstration at Portugal Embassy, London

A collective demonstration was organised by the Burma Campaign, U.K, on 31.08.07, at the Portugal Embassy, London, as the E.U presidency is currently held by Portugal.
About 50 people from, Burma Campaign (U.K), C.S.W (U.K), Friends Of Burma & Burmese Democratic Community participated at the event. Guest speakers talked about the situation in Burma and asked the E.U. to take action on Burma. Open letters were delivered to the E.U President, Portugal, c/o the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Portugal, mentioning about the current situation in Burma and requested the E.U, President to; _

Strengthen E.U Common Position.

Put Burma agenda in the coming E.U, Ministerial meeting on 7th – 8th September.

Put the Burma Issue in the U.N, Security Council’s formal agenda.
