As there are hundreds of thousands of people in Rangoon suffering on the brink of starvation due to hyper-inflation of essential commodities, a national politician, Amyotheryei U Win Naing, and his followewrs distributed bags of rice to poorest families in Rangoon.

The situations outside of the capital are believed to be far worse than in Rangoon.

This woman’s hut in HlaingTherYer Township just out side of Yangon was flattened by rain and wind. She has four children and her husband works as a carpenter in Naypyidaw.
