A Burmese education expert, Dr. Thein Lwin, gave a seminar on “Education and Democracy”, called “Burma’s Future Hope”, in Japan last week.

Dr Thein Lwin’s Chiang Mai Learning Centre provides three-month training courses on computer, Thai and English languages and other vocational trainings such as electrical and plumbing for free of charge.

It also provides training courses for teachers along the Thai-Burma border.
