Please Pray for Peace in Burma
Oct 29th, 2006
We feel the pain and hear the sighs of
Our heroes, our heroines
And our brave ethnic elders and brothers
Locked away in unknown cages behind the unseen walls.
The military tortured, raped and killed our innocents
But they could not claim our obedience in our souls
For we do not believe in bloodshed
Let’s protest in peace with prayers for Burma.
While Burma morns for the lost of many brave sons and daughters
We are praying for the political prisoners and a peaceful Burma.
The time has come for everyone
To pray together for freedom.
Put on your rosaries and white clothes
We are voting with our prayers to decide our own future
We are praying for peace and freedom in Burma
In churches, mosques and Buddhist monasteries.
