It’s been Raining since She Came
May 30th, 2006
It’s been raining since she came.
In the city which they don’t know.
The city of Unknowns.
.
Here in the city,
It’s easy if you want to make your smile a beauty,
Just go see a dentist.
It’s easy if you want to make an easy living,
Just get under another one’s skin.
It’s easy if you want to give commands,
Just do exactly as you are commanded.
All of them, but them, are compromising this,
And compromising that.
It’s so easy.
.
It’s been pouring still.
It has not been done yet.
It will never be done anyway.
A foreign-made umbrella will never make you feel secure
In such a downpour.
They used to think highly of themselves.
That’s when they thought their immune system was perfect.
Now they are coughing occasionally.
.
Since she came to the city of Unknowns,
All of them have taken their flight.
The real birds remain in their nests underground,
Or in the cages kept by those
Who do not keep birds for pets.
.
Rain pouring down
Cats and dogs upon her
Since she came.
.
