In Kyaw U’s so called corrrect history (gossip) he did find some Muslims “(Bengalis)” in Arakan but the military government sees all the Muslims in Arakan as “Bangladeshis.” In this respect Kyaw U seems to be more libral than the military. However, to them in order to be a Burmese, one has to be both Buddhist and racially similar to the Burmese. Following this formula, no wonder Kyaw U, couldn’t find any Muslim in the Kareni state; even when the photograps shows it all. The point is racism and bigotry are not the only possession of the military but also of people like Kyaw U who should be educated to help bring democracy in Burma.
